Jane Fields embodied in action the wonderful example of giving and loving others. She acquired, through being self-taught, the skill of quilting and making blankets. There was no doubt that if a new baby was born in the home or in the event of a life changing milestone, such as graduating from high school or a wedding, a personalized quilt or blanket made of love would be the gift. Within our community and in surrounding counties, there were many who came forward to the family after her transition, expressing their sentiments for having been a recipient of her labor of love. We know there are many who could benefit from a “blanket of love” or a covering during a time of hardship as they establish stability in their lives and get back on their feet. The following program named “Jane’s Blanket” has the purpose of mirroring this gesture by providing supportive healthcare accommodations for those who need assistance during their wellness journey.
